At a press conference earlier today HTC announced their latest flagship phone, the HTC One. Boasting a 4.7 inch screen with a 1080p resolution it has the highest pixel density of any phone currently announced. It has the hardware to back it up too with a Snapdragon 600 processor which has 4 cores and runs at 1.7 Ghz which positions it very strongly against the other top level smartphones currently available as you can see in The Verge’s comparisons. HTC also touts the picture quality of the camera and a new version of the HTC Sense GUI that boasts an interesting Flipboard-style widget to accompany their already very attractive weather and clock widgets. Coming in black and white, this unit should be appearing on all of the major characters except Verizon in various forms. The Verge has an extensive first look at the HTC One and there are expandable images after the break.
EDIT: Updated with promo video after the break, it shows off the metal uni-body construction, dual stereo speakers and new HTC Sense features
