It Came From the Indies 2 – Coherence

COH_TheatricalPosterIt Came From the Indies episode 2 opens with a few words on the sad passing of horror icon and Texas Chain Saw Massacre star Marilyn Burns. Her performance in that indie horror classic has left an indelible mark with all that have seen it. For more on Marilyn check out the great tribute over at The Horror Honeys.

Today’s interview is with first time director James Ward Byrkit whose film COHERENCE is available on demand on pretty much every source you can think of or through the official website. Made on a very small scale Coherence was a grand experiment in improvisation and keeping the actors almost entirely in the dark as to what the movie is actually about. No spoilers but you might find yourself needing to watch this movie more than once, that’s the dark magic of Coherence! Mr Byrkit was a great interview and a talent to watch out for! The trailer is after the bump.

We’ll be back later this week with our interview with Mattie Do, the first female director in the south eastern country of Laos and the first director EVER to make a Laos horror movie! Get pumped for that by checking out her awesome IndieGoGo pitch video!
