Eric England is an up and coming director who is probably best known right now for his zombie allegory CONTRACTED, one of the most misunderstood horror films of all time. Cutting his teeth on the likes of Madison Country and Roadside, Contracted was his first film out of his comfort zone and it’s onwards and upwards from here on! Eric talks about his early years, how he has developed as a filmmaker and how he has challenged himself by going outside of the horror genre altogether.
We also talk about Contracted Phase 2, the sequel that he was basically forced out of and how the resulting movie ended up being an utter disaster. An interesting and definitely a cautionary tale about dealing with some producers. Not all of them! But the ones that want to make a quick zombie-fest sequel to your allegorical horror movie, yeah those ones.
