CASTLEVANIA just turned 30! Oh you didn’t know about that? Maybe that’s because Konami basically didn’t bother celebrating it. Of all of the enduring video game series you would think that Castlevania would get something but nope. Luckily Justin is a huge fan of the series and he and Martin go through the many iterations of the franchise, it’s move to the style of game now known as “Metroidvania” and how Castlevania translated from a 2D plain to a 3D one.

But there’s more! WWE gave us a glorified Smackdown house show last Sunday with the dreary NO MERCY and they run down the show, the good, the bad, and the weird backstage vignette with Randy Orton. Then there is some talk of whether Virtual Reality is ever going to become the “future of gaming” as it is hailed or is it just tired, worn-out hardware being repurposed for another gimmick? Also, did you see that trailer for the Power Rangers movie? Yeesh.

Retromendations:
Justin: Drill Dozer for GBA
Martin: SOMA for PS4 and PC
