It’s a super special Cinemosity as the gang is joined by Inda from Black Girl Squee! There are more deaths in the entertainment industry to speak on and then there’s a healthy dose of shade-enfreude! There’s also a couple of major comic book movie trailers to talk, lots of news from the horror film world and much more!

Then Musicians in Movies Month finishes with Inda’s choice: HEAD The Monkees started life as a fake TV show band created to cash in on the success of the Beatles but ended up becoming very popular thanks to the fact hat they were actually really talented guys. Wanting to produce more of their own stuff rather than just singing other composer’s songs they branched out more and more as their career went on. HEAD was their attempt to shed their teenage girl-friendly issue with a surreal experimental film featuring their own music. Unfortunately it did nothing to bring in a new audience and alienated their teenage one but now exists as a cult favorite. It’s really, really weird and the gang tries to make as much sense of it as they can.

Next time our movie is another cult classic, the distinctive PHANTASM which received a beautiful HD remaster last year as the wait for the fifth and final chapter in the series finally came to an end.
